As UK Grime, our beloved genre of rap music is currently on the radio and in the charts, there’s no way we would pass on the opportunity to present you some up-and-coming talent from the island of bass music. With our roots deep in UK Garage, Jungle, Grime and Dubstep, we’ve been enthusiastically following the development of the scene and felt joy seeing it get again some recognition it deserves.
Having already worked with Top Billin numerous times and considered and family friend, Oxford producer JayceK stepped into studio with his mate 4BZ to create a smasher of track, telling the story of young guys on the come-up. Haunting feels, massive 808’s and 4BZ’s (last name Forbes, get it) infectious flow make this suitable both for the radio and the club (we prefer the club as this has been on our DJ sets a lot lately, but radio play is good too, wink wink).
From the early days of Ruff Sqwad, Kano, Roll Deep to modern success of living legends Skepta, Kano and Wiley, grime has come a long way and looks like it’s getting even better. We play it, we chart it, we support it. Hope you do the same.
