His infatuation with the genre began after he played the video game Wipeout in the early 2000s and was blown away by the game's breakbeat and electro tracks. Influenced by the rave music scene of the 2000s, Michel Ange loves the melancholic yet uplifting sound and frequently incorporates a break with a completely different mood, a technique he admires in hardcore tracks from the 1990s. He draws inspiration from artists such as Slipmatt, Danny Byrd, and old-school bangers like 'N-Joi - Anthem'.
